Gallery 1: Cheeky Chickens

My inspiration for this work came from my neighbours chickens. Feeding them little treats nearly every day for the last few years, they have become my friends. They run over as fast as their little legs will take them as soon as they see or hear me.

Chickens are quiet comical little creatures with their quirky characters. So I have used them as a subject matter to create a new series of work which are fun, light-hearted and colourful with a touch of humour.

I have used a number of different methods and techniques in order to add texture and interest, including mono-printing, screen print and intricate hand decoration. The work on display are all originals. No two chickens are the same, each is unique and intentionally, each has its own character and charm.
