Gallery 5: Miscellaneous

Below are miscellaneous examples of artwork work that I have produced in the past.

Lilies: This work involved experimenting with painted drawings and sketches which were altered and adjusted by using digital imagery and painting software, thus using a computer as an artistic tool. The result is an image which is a contrast version of the original drawing. I then developed this by transferring these images onto a canvas by hand therefore creating more depth and vibrancy with the colour and brush work.

Murder Mystery: This brief was a stepping stone to exploring different ways to express and illustrate Murder & Mystery using the 'Film Noire' theme. Using different printing processes which created an atmosphere incorporating the characters depict from genre of 'Film Noire'. In layering the various elements I have exposed some parts of the story, but hidden others.

Spirals: We all remember using a 'Spiro graph' as children and how lovely they were. These spirals came from a child's toy. I love the random line and effect, no two spirals are the same. I like the quality of line, this give interest and textured to composition. Each has its own character and style. For this example of spirals I used a computer software programme, which manipulated the original image changing the line and colour.
